Background
Submission procedure and manuscript format
All manuscripts should be submitted electronically to organizations.markets@evaf.vu.lt.
File types: Word or RTF (with a copy in PDF, if an author provides sophisticated graphics). File name should indicate author's surname (the first author's surname, if there is more than one author) and submission date.
Font: 12 point, Times New Roman.
Text: double-spaced, left-justified.
Page layout: 2,5 cm (one inch) margins on all sides with page numbers in the upper right corner.
Length maximum: 50 pages (A4 format), properly formatted and inclusive of title, abstract, keywords, body text, references and appendixes.
Preparation of manuscripts
The first page of the text should include:
- the title of the manuscript,
- the author's and co-authors names, positions and institutional affiliations, together with e-mail addresses for correspondence,
- abstract of no more than 200 words. This should summarize the essence of the whole paper and not just the conclusions,
- up to five keywords,
- approximately 50 words of biographical information on each author of the submitted paper,
Subsequent pages:
- the body of article with headings, footnotes a list of references, appendices, tables, illustrations (please see the style guidelines below).
Style guidelines
Manuscripts are judged not only on scholarly contributions, but also on their clarity and whether they can be read and well understood. Therefore articles should be written in an interesting, readable manner and have clear structure. Headings must be short, clearly defined and numbered, except for Introduction and Conclusions. Footnotes should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals. All tables, graphs, and diagrams are expected to support and be relevant to your research findings. They should be clearly referred to and numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals. They should be placed in the text at the appropriate paragraph (just after/below its reference) or on separate sheets grouped at the end of the manuscript, with a note of their location in the text. All figures must have captions. In all figures taken or adapted from other sources, a brief note to that effect is obligatory, below the figure.
Please use APA referrencing style. For your convenience we indicate the main rules:
1. Referencing (summarising, paraphrasing) in text is made by stating author‘s name and year of publication.
• Examples of referring to one author (or source):
- Debates have been raised whether the method is scientifically accurrate (Brown, 2008).
- Several organisations have supported this activity (United Nations, 2008).
- Brown (2008) questions the scientific accurracy of this method.
• Examples of referring to two authors:
- Debates have been raised whether the method is scientifically accurrate (Brown & Black, 2008).
- Brown & Black (2008) question the scientific accurracy of this method.
• Examples of referring to three or more authors:
- Debates have been raised whether the method is scientifically accurrate (Brown et al., 2008).
- Brown et al. (2008) question the scientific accurracy of this method.
2. Direct quoting (citation) in text or referrals to specific ideas and exact figures is made by stating authors' name, year of publication, and page number. Quotation marks indicate the quote.
• Examples:
- „Special attention should be drawn to emerging changes“ (Brown, 2008, p.34).
- Increase in 34 % was monitored (United Nations, 2008, p.34).
- Brown notes, that „special attention should be drawn to emerging changes“ (2008, p.34).
For quoting two or more authors, refer to the examples above.
3. List of references is sorted by name and date (year). If there are two publications of the same author(s), published in the same year, indicate them by (a), (b), (c).
